‘Westland Glow’ is a work for 2 pianos and 8 hands. The piece is intended as a celebration of the gift of music which has been passed down through years of incredible teaching at the Royal Irish Academy of Music over its history. The piece reflects the joy of learning music there, the friendships made in the building and excellence of its alumni who have spread out all over the world to continue in this tradition. ‘Westland Glow’ was commissioned by and dedicated to Colma Brioscú who was Ailbhe’s first piano teacher at the Royal Irish Academy of Music.
